10th Annual Central American Youth Leadership Conference

HOMIES UNIDOS INVITES YOU TO JOING US TO THE 10TH ANNUAL CENTRAL AMERICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

On behalf of Homies Unidos, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for all our partners who have part of these 10 years supporting our Annual Central American Youth Leadership Conference. Last year our keynote speaker was Assemblyman Mark Gonzalez who gave a heartfelt speak about the resilience of our immigrant youth experience and how brave they need to be in this time of crisis in our immigrant communities.

In the past we have had people like Mayor Erick Garcetti, Sen. Maria Elena Durazo, Board of Supervisors Hilda Solis, LA City Council Eunisses Hernandez among other community members such as, STEM, founder Dr. Charles Vela, CARECEN-Angela Sambrano, SALEF-Jocelyn Duarte among others.

In an yearly bases we have approximately 450 students attend the conference from about 10 local LAUSD and Charter schools. Including schools who have driven from Santa Barbara to take advantage of the resources our city of Los Angeles has to offer our immigrant youth.

On Friday, May 29, 2026, we are expecting 450 students, 15 workshops, and over 20 resource partners for an inspiring day of learning, connection, and cultural celebration. The conference will be held at Los Angeles Trade-Tech College, centered around the powerful theme "Lucha Contra La Injusticia" — Fight Against Injustice. Highlights included a partnership with Pollo Campero, offering culturally resonant food that reminded students of home, and our annual mural painting, which last year was sponsored by L.A. vs. Hate, that reflected the richness, struggles, and aspirations of our communities.

We take precautions with security and are able to have a successful events without any incident. We stand by our immigrant students as we see the continued devastation that the ICE raids is causing our immigrant community. They should not have to be afraid and they have our community to protect them.

We want to invite sponsors to our 10th Central American Youth Leadership Conference
